Otaku Con Dublin 2014 Update: Smash Brothers Edition

He have yet again been slaving away to bring you the best possible convention we can in December.

We have applied to run an advert in the October and November issues of Neo Magazine.Our artist Kevin Smyth from "Kick Start Designs" has created an amazing Advert and hand drew all the characters to the right.It was drawn on a black background so it has a sort of Batman the animated series feel to it.

I see a lot of gamers are playing the Smash brothers demo.We will be running a tournament for this game and our guest David Vincent will reprise his role of robin from Fire emblem.So remember to bring your copy's to get signed.

These guys are a Greek indie manga creative team that's very popular and they also run there own convention in Greece.

Otaku Con Dublin 2014 Update: Sonic Races Luas!

It has been a crazy few weeks organising Otaku Con Dublin 2014.A guest  called "The Mario Busker" we confirmed a few weeks back who is known to play retro Nintendo video game music cosplaying as Mario from the "Super Mario Bros" franchise around the Henry street area.He got international attention when a video of him went viral where he raced a tram also known as Luas which means speed in Irish cosplaying as Sega"s Sonic the Hedgehog.This was to promote him running a marathon for charity in the next few weeks.

We also recently announced the podcast group "The Irish Pubcast" would record a podcast and have a couple of Panels at Otaku Con.They are well known for attending most conventions in Ireland and we are happy to have them come along..

One of our guests David Vincent who is known for huge backlog of anime he has voiced in and video games was announced to have gotten a role in one of the most popular animes at the moment Kill La Kill.He will voice Sengetsu who is a prominent character in the show.This is a big deal for his career and might also attract more people to Otaku Con.

We are currently working on getting permission to screen certain shows and movies and we plan to screen a lot of video game related material such as Megaman,Street Fighter and Devil May Cry.

Our main goal at the moment is to make as many people aware of the con as possible as it can be tough to get a good attendance when your the new otaku convention in Ireland.
